F1 2026 - Miami Updates - CLOSER LOOK
Video Overview & Insights
Lots of updates in Miami. Let's take a closer look!
Superclipping until 2031* btw.
Madness. The sport will be torn in half before then.

I love those new Red Bull sidepods, they're so aggressive and extreme, really cool to look at

For all my complaints with the new regulations, it is refreshing to see teams trying out stuff like the Macarena wing while others are sticking to the more ânormalâ setup

If I am not mistaken Ferrari is the team that brought the Macarena rear wing and the plate at the exhaust pipe, both of which are being copied.

IMO this era is a power unit era. Who has the best unit wins, irrespective of the aero. The previous ground effect era was far more interesting to see aero improvements. Even in the case of the Macarena wing I donât think itâs enough to challenge the Mercedes power unit. Only McLarenâs stands a chance IMO.

I love these videos you make. The aerodynamics of F1 cars is amazing and you explain everything in detail! Thanks!

Looks like someone suming Sam Collin's work, I'm a bit disappointed

Really informative video! I have watched this channel for quite a bit but I still cannot understand why the macarena wing is beneficial. I know that the wing creates lift when inverted, but wouldn't it still induce some drag? Surely reducing the reference area like alpine did should be more efficient.

Lift does NOT equal less drag

Thank you !
@MrOkw1Your input is the best on the internet. Huge Audi fan. Can't wait for them to get to a podium.
@luke.unchartedI thought Ferrari were using such a convoluted way of turning the wing because of the braking effect it gives them in transition.
@BMD8All these changes are mindblowing, seeing what solutions do aerodynamicists and engineers come up with by just interpreting the rules is incredible. .
And your delivery and explanation of all these changes is superb, thanks a lot! đđŒđđŒđ
Please stick to these types of videos and not your recent sensationalist ones
@litreocola6447Why do people think that creating lift will decrease drag? Any force generation (up or down) will generate drag.
Also, the airfoils are all wrong in the open position so these are very dirty of elements exposed to the flow generating lots of drag due to significant separation.
I'm sure that they create some interactions with the main plane and the diffuser so the combined effect is hard to guess without CFD/WTT but creating lift doesn't mean reducing drag.
You're my favourite technical regulation
@lenmetallicaI remember back when the exhausts used to be a thing of beauty, exiting the rear cowl in an integrated way, like a sculpture. Now it's not just a pipe like it has been for years - which was fine but boring, but has a cynical and lame looking "bracket" on it. I get it's effective and easy to do, but it's so ugly. It's like every idea they have makes the sport look more stupid. If we're going to allow a mini 'blown diffuser' effect, why can't they think about this before the regulations are finalised and contrive something more elegant for the teams to create.
@Ruylopez778i love this chassis, hate the engines
@veloso98Any thought on the red bulls's asymmetric front wind design?
@salmiakk_itThanks for all these explanations. Like others have said, your detailed explanations can be more interesting than the race itself.
@Mark-eh4grthe downward airflow on the side pods looks like it's begging for a double diffuser setup.
@r1zmyPlease more videos on other teams as well, especially McLaren
@dongurudebro4579We all owe Wache an apology đ clearly cooking even tho the car is still overweight.
Gonna be interesting to see how the car performs as the season goes on and the weight goes lower. Especially RB being rumoured to have the best engine slightly.
So is the Ferrari or red bull Macarena wing better, and is it better to have a Center or side actuators?
@taransanghera9794Having the bracket in the middle of the wing on the Ferrari might help with the downforce because it is getting more flow in that area because of the exhaust outlet.
@ryanrobinson2401In the end, with now better energy management I like these regs.
@upshifterLove the content, but the intro is way to loud. Please consider to change.
@Georg-g6sRed Bullâs rotating wing is more elegant and probably more effective.
